I've been throwing around a few ideas in my head for a new look for the blog. The pictures in the banner are somewhat outdated. I have a few blogs that I like the look of, and a few folks have sent me some names of people who can do the work. I have some questions and thoughts for you, my dear readers:
- I was leaning towards the color green and colors that go along with that. I'm not really sure yet, a lot of that will depend upon my theme.
- That leads into my first question. Do you think I should have a theme, kind of like the beach one I have now or do you think that I should center around a color scheme, not too busy, but with some widgets thrown in on the side bar?
- What kinds of widgets or other things do you like on a sidebar? Do you have any favorites?
- I was thinking of making the move to Wordpress. I'm currently using Moveable Type. What are your thoughts? Opinions?
- Do you know of any good web designers?
- Do you have any favorite blogs (even if it's your own) that you like the look of?
- And finally, a tag line. You've read the blog. Feel free to cruise around and see what you can come up with. It will be a contest, and after I've reviewed all of the ideas, I'll pick my favorites and have a pole.
Feel free to answer any, or all of these questions in my comments section. If you are more comfortable, just drop me an email.
Thanking you in advance, Chez Moogie

I'm a big fan of green. My blog is green right now, in fact. Green's a hard color to design around, though, I think. The theme that I'm using right now is my 5th attempt at getting a green theme that I was actually happy with the colors.
As far as themes go, I'm not generally a fan of them myself, but that's totally your call.
I love Wordpress. Rachelskirts swears by Movable Type. I think MT is easier to create custom skins for, but the WP community is (seemingly) much larger, so there's a lot you don't have to do from scratch.
Good Web Designers? @trollbaby and the others over at http://www.swankwebstyle.com/ are good, at least I've liked what I've seen.

Hi Moogie, yeah truely great web design is a pain.
I agree update the banner, color scheme that's hard it's as hard as picking a color scheme for a room in the house well it is an extension of your life...
My blue one too a few attempts..
What to do is this - take a snap shot of your blog webpage put into your favourite paint package and play with the color using the color replace tool i.e replace the blue with a green you like to see how it compares, find colors that compliment each either different shades or that are opposites from green..
Widgets no idea -i think you can pretty much keep what you got maybe re-arrange them slightly...
You know where to find me ;) I'll be the one buried in PHP / css code on "that" site, why did I open my mouth....
