Dear Children,
The laundry hamper in the bathroom is to be used only for dirty clothes.
The trash can is for garbage.
From this point on, let's try not to get them mixed up.
Love,
Mama
PS: Sliverware does not belong in the hamper either.

Dear Kids,
Please do as told or else that "threat" to get sent to visit might stop being a threat and become a promise!!!! I have enough thing to make me go insane - so please, please remember this..
Trash - in Trash basket
Dirty Clothes - in Laundry Hamper in the bathroom, not on the FLOOR where ever you take them off / drop them (especially when figuring out what your going to wear even although you know you're probably not going to get away with it)... They hang up again no lay on the floor - GOT IT, else I may be summoned and no you don't want that either it will cost you a years pocket money for that !
And the Silverware and other stuff like plates, cups , glasses they go in the sink / dishwasher, even the counter top near said items would do - STACKED neatly of course!
I know it's a lot to ask but please think of your mom's sanity - if it goes too much she may just send you this way!
Regards
Uncle G

You mean I'm not supposed to find waded up kleenex in the laundry; especially after it's already gone through the washing machine and is stuck to everything?
My rule is this:
Clean our your pockets, zip up your zippers, and snap your snaps.
If do check pockets before things go in the washer, but sometimes I don't. What I find, I keep - even if it's a $20 bill. You don't follow the rule, then it's your loss.
And the next time a crayon or a lipgloss goes through the laundry, it will be THEM cleaning every stinking piece of "clean" (now stained) laundry.
I have mad stain removal skillz, and I think it's time to pass the torch. One only learns by experience, ya know? LOL!

Seriously! Why and how does SILVERWARE get into the laundry hamper?? More than once, too! Glad to know I am not the only one who has had that one happen. And the policy of getting to keep what is in the pockets? I have made a pretty good haul with that one. My favorite of all of the house rules. Keeps me living with my coffee habit.
