Now you see what happens when I spend the afternoon, and part of the evening with a 9 year old girl who has one of those joke books. I listened to various groaners ALL.THROUGH.THE.GROCERY.STORE.

Get it? A "SCENTER". Bwahahahahahahahahaha!

Tonight I’m preparing Zuppa Toscana for my husband’s potluck lunch at work which is tomorrow. Every month, they have a potluck lunch to celebrate all of the birthdays. He wanted me to prepare some kind of a soup or stew.

I know many of you are familiar with Olive Garden. We love it but rarely go because the closest one to us is about 45 miles away. This is one of my favorite soups. I've never made it before so I went hunting here and discovered two good recipes, which can be found here and here. There are some things I like about both recipes, so I'm going to combine the two of them (using what ingredients/measurements I like) and see what happens. One of the things I will do is replace all water with chicken broth to give it more of a robust flavor. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Right now I need to go get the kids in bed, then drag out the old reliable crockpot and have at it.
