Thirteen Imaginary Worlds
I got this week's entry idea from the book "Uncle John's Electrifying Bathroom Reader for Kids Only." This is a book that my daughter is currently reading. For anyone who has kids that like to learn about interesting (sometimes strange facts) this is an excellent book for them.
For my 11th edition of Thursday 13, I have decided to make a list of 13 Imaginary Worlds. Your job is to guess the book or movie it came from. You get extra points if you can guess which one is also the name of a real place.
Enjoy!!
- Hogwards
- Never-Never Land
- Camelot
- Thousand Acre Wood
- Pern
- Wild Island
- Narnia
- Lilliput
- Middle Earth
- Gotham City
- Tatooine
- Emerald City
- Transylvania
The purpose of the meme is to get to know everyone who participates a little bit better every Thursday. Visiting fellow Thirteeners is encouraged! If you participate, leave the link to your Thirteen in others comments, including mine! Itβs easy, and fun! Trackbacks, pings, comment links accepted! All comments are welcome, even if you don't want to play.

Happy Thanksgiving and Happy TT!

Michele sent me, Moogie.
I knew all of them except #6, Wild Island. I did read Where the Wild Things are and that seems to be a good answer. Thanks, Rampant Bicycle!
I could name dozens of other fantasy locations. I credit a misspent youth reading fantasy novels and science fiction.

KEWL list, Moogie! Thanks for stopping by West of Mars -- with more support, hopefully, Riverview USA will be on a list like this one day!!! (now to check out your new hub!)

I knew all except 5, 6 and 9. I guess that's no where near "all" then, is it? :0)
Cool list, I like it. Very neat idea.
Thanks for stopping by - have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Here from Michele.
I was going to answer the questions but I think it's already been done and she knew more than I did. Of course it has been a while since my daughter was a child. I would add one..... The Great Green Room.

Thanks for stopping by my T13. To answer your pondering... brining hte turkey just prepares the skin to make it less permeable. It prevents the turkey from drying out at all during cooking, so it's fantastically juicy (even two days later for leftovers). It's not as salty as the name would suggest-- you rinse the brine off before roasting.
And for your list...
1) Harry Potter
2) Peter Pan
3) King Arthur
4) I should know this...
5) Anne McCaffrey's books
6) no idea...
7) The Chronicles of Narnia
8) Gulliver's Travels
9) Tolkein's Lord of the Rings series
10) Batman (and DC comics in general)
11) Star Wars
12) Oz
13) Dracula... and Romania
