Saturday, November 25

As I was picking out the clothes for Meelie to wear this morning (8 years old), I held up a top and she said, "mom, that's tacky." The second one I held up did not fair any better.

"Mom, that's hideous!"

And now, she is out back with one of her little friends, jumping on the trampoline and singing at the top of her lungs.

Do your ears hang low,
do they wobble to and fro?
Can you tie them in a knot?
Can you tie them in a bow?
Can you throw them over your shoulder,
When the wind begins to blow?
Do your ears hang low?

(Only substitue ears for a part of your anatomy that is above your belly button and below your chin).

And she learned it from her sister.

MUST.NOT.LAUGH.

What must the neighbors be thinking?

That's so funny! I only heard that song for the first time last week when I watched Barney with my Niece....I'm sure she'll end up substituting words soon!

I love their ability to never be boxed in by conventional thinking.

The neighbors are probably watching and wishing that they, too, could be driven by such spirit.

You know, in Asia, long ear lobes signify a long life. Think of all the Buddhas you've seen. However now, I'll never get the rhyme out of my head. Too funny!!!

Here from Michele! *waves* Hi!
