My nose has been itching all day. The kind of itching that makes me want to stuff a bottle brush up the offending nostril and stroke quickly.
I know that if your ears are burning, it means that someone is talking about you. What does it mean if your nose itches? That your coworker is complaining to your boss about your body odor?
I think I'm afraid to find out the answer. Because all of those coworkers who think I stink? Think that I have a bug bite in there.
And now I'm obessed with finding out if they are right. It isn't pretty.

Moogie, I've always heard two things for an itchy nose: you're going to get into a fight or you're going to kiss a fool....

1.Old wives tale is that someone is coming for a visit.
2. Becuase your hands are dirty and you are hoping not to get an itchy nose. Happens while gardening or cleaning the oven.
3.Just like when you are busting to go to the toilet the phone rings, or someone knocks at your door. Maybe it is just like that.
The main cause of itch is movement of hair or dust particles or histamine, a chemical released by cells in the skin. Histamine is also the chemical that causes the itch and reddening when bitten by insects – which is why a mosquito bite itches such a lot. Any of these stimuli irritate nerve-endings, which then send signals to the brain for further action. The action is scratching.

I thought it was if your ears were ringing!!!
My nose itches at least daily. But then I live where the humidity is less than 10% on any given day (except this past week).
I like the one about kissing a fool.
