Thirteen Essential Things Found at Chez Moogie
I know that all of us, whether we have children or not, have items (food or anything else) that we continually stock in our household. Here is my list. When I started, I had about 50. I had to cut it back quite a bit.
- Milk. I have often thought about buying a cow. Better yet, a dairy farm. We go through at least 3 gallons of milk in a week. During the summer, much more.
- Macaroni and Cheese. It's a staple in our house. Do you know that my kids would rather have the boxed stuff, vs. the homemade? Barbarians!
- Top Ramen. Another staple. It's something that the kids can make as well. They can decide if they want it "soup-like" or more noodles, in which they add a little butter and parmesan cheese. If I have left-over meat, such as chicken, I'll throw that in as well.
- Spaghettios. Quick dinner for those nights when you get home late and the kiddos are starving. Add some fruit, or applesauce, and Bob's your uncle.
- Yogurt. I always get the stuff that's on sale. I generally buy 20 of them at a time. They are gone in 4 days.
- Raw baby carrots. Nothing says "snack" like some carrots and Ranch Dressing.
- Micro-fiber cloths. These are great for cleaning. I picked some up at the Dollar Store and have been hooked ever since.
- Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. I love this product. I wonder if Mr. Clean is married. He is kind of sexy with that bald, shiny head.
- Ibuprofen. Enough said.
- Pepcid AC. See number 9.
- Batteries. We have just about every size known to man-kind. Between the wireless computer peripherals, flashlights, kids’ toys, etc., we make sure we are well stocked.
- Toilet paper. How can 4 people go through so much?
- Pencils. These seem to magically disappear during the school year, which is fine. But they never seem to make it back into the backpack when the day is done. I wonder if there is a pencil thief on the loose. It would be comparable to the sock monster that lives in the dryer.

I get 2 gallons of milk a week, and I'm the only one who lives here. :)

I think I have every last one of those things on your list at my house, too.

I want you to stop looking through my window:-)
Seriously, that mac and cheese thing...isn't that the funniest thing? My kids are the same way...I worked and worked one time to make homemade and my husband loved it. My kids couldn't even wrap their minds around the fact that this was in fact, macaroni and cheese.
We buy alot of these other things on your list as well. Great list!

We keep a lot of those items in the house too. As far as batteries go we tend to keep a well stock of them too. I have noticed that we need to buy double a's more often than any other type though.

Wow does this sound like my house..hahaha
A got a tip from a friend and could hardly believe it worked and worked as well as it did. Ant acids were a huge staple here too. What works better is raw celery...no joke...
The pencil thing...arghhhhhhhhh I do not know what my son is doing with his pencils.. I buy 10 a week! during the school year.
Maybe they eat them?
Have a wonderful day!

I think these are essentials everywhere. I buy toilet paper 36 rolls at a time. Like we'd ever stop using it. My T13 is up.

I love LOVE Magic Clean Erasers!

Mmm, the first half of that list has made me hungry! I'd love to keep my kitchen stocked with Ramen noodles, but I have to watch my sodium and they're full of it. More's the pity -- I think I was one of the few college students who didn't mind eating Ramen all the time. :)
My TT is up.

Ooh, what a fun idea! Yup, we have a lot of these same things, too, though I think you're better about stocking up and keeping them on hand than we are!!
My list is up too! Sorry I've been MIA lately....still want to post some recipes on the recipe site.....one of these days!!

Except for the Spaghettios, most of those are in constant supply at my house as well! And, your T13 is similar to mine, this week I did 13 things I always have on hand in my refrigerator (some with recipe links). Great minds think alike, I say!
Great T13, have a wonderful day!!!

I love that magic eraser. It came in handy when my daughter drew a life sized portrait of our family on the wall.
Happy T13!

When I was younger I used to love mac and cheese. And top ramen! Oh yeah. But my favorite still to this day is the spaghetti o's. I eat them straight from the can. Which may sound extremely gross, but it is soooooo good! Have a great day.

Kraft Mac N Cheese is a staple in my house as well. And the scary thing is that there are no children in the house. It's all for ME!!! Muahahahaha.
