I hitched a ride with my lovely sister Leslie today, and we stopped off here for a brief visit.

People who live a virtual life don't have actual experiences. Their blogs tend to reflect that.

I can't understand why people are so hungry to share their every waking thought with the rest of the world -- and I certainly don't understand why people are interested in reading these musings, personal details and outright lies.

I feel a bit sorry for Ms. Amy because she's obviously not had the wonderful experiences I have with my friends in the blog world. I've met some of them face to face, and some I communicate with via email or just the comments in my blog. Some, I have no contact with at all, but read their blogs regularly. I feel a certain kinship with all of them, and if that's pathetic, then I'm all for it.

My life is very real. I have a real husband, two beautiful daughters, skads of animals and a fantastic job. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. I regularly and proudly post about my children, and anything else in between.

So tell me my loyal peeps, are we living a lie?

Discuss.

Wow, I am not sure how to react to this. I am offended and yet I agree with her a little. Yes, there are people that do not want to face reality so they live their lives on the internet. I love all my blogger friends and enjoy their virtual company but I promise there is plenty of reality in my life. I think of you, Heather, Gopher, Suzanne, Chase, Vege, and the rest as friends, but that does not mean I do not have friends that I see in person. I guess if that makes me a blog loser then I am. I liken her article with beer. I like beer and have had beer on different occassions in my life, but I am not an alcoholic. I know someone else that loves beer to the point that has become an illness for them. Differenct circumstances different results.

Hey, I have to go get my car fixed so I'll comment on this later, but I LOVE THE NEW LOOK!

(and I blog, I have a life, and I keep the blog because I have so much extra to share). :-)

poke- poke- poke -
I feel real........and my life sure doesn't feel like a giant fairy tale......
I think blogging is a lot like pen pals - some tell lies, most tell realities, and as a bonus sometimes you make really good friends long distance.

I used to think the same thing. Deb started blogging before me....I thought she was crazy and I thought all bloggers were freaks, stalkers and weirdos.

Now, thru experience I have met some wonderful, funny, caring, interesting people .....and some weirdos too!

Its all what you make it.......

I think what bothers me the most about this is that it is a blanket statement. Not all blogs are like that. Some are yes, but you don't have to look far for those with meat on the bones.

I think most people who make comments like that are probably not very interesting people to begin with. The short answer she gave her reader looks to me like she didn't even bother to put much thought into her words.

Hmm sounds likes someone needs to meme tag that one :D hmm with some evil twisted meme to boot *sorry that's just my sarcastic side showing*
I have a life *sort of* well I eat, sleep, get up, go to work, play games, chat, blog, see my nephew, go out sometimes.

I'm really kind of bummed, though. She didn't mention anything about pajamas...

(Thanks for guarding my six!)

There's a possiblility that some are... but I know for a fact that most of those I read aren't. From meeting the bloggers that I have, I know that with most of them, what you read is what you get. And some are even better...

Well, the truth is, I have no life. But I don't lie either. It's all real. I just try to make sense out of the chaos.

I guess people out there lie and I'm too trusting because I tend to believe them. Who has time to make this stuff up? And who would want to? Believe me, if I were going to make stuff up? It would be much cooler.

Hey Moogie, I am finally going to say hello on your blog! (I used to get rejected for failing to put in my e-mail address - which I'm a little cagey about, seeing as I have an anonymous blog)

I think what that lady wrote just shows she hasn't experienced what we have - entertaining blogs written by wonderful people. Like you, I have a very full life, yet I love the new world that has opened up to me through blogging.

I hope you have a brilliant weekend!

Moog...I love your new looks....and I guess blogging is what you make it. I have a life, one I really enjoy and I have a blog, one I really enjoy. and I love reading other blogs etc...I guess its "to each his own"...I do kind of feel sorry for her though.

At the risk of sounding redundant, it's all about balance isn't it?
I have a real life that is so busy I'm not always able to post every day, but I still like to blog. I like to write things, tell silly stories, and I like to read a few good blogs just like I would pick up a magazine and read a few articles! no harm in that I say. I suppose if it was all you did, like in that particular example of the guy who spent all day on line,...than yeah, you might have a problem. The few online friends I've made seem to be interesting, talented, and wonderful moms! I say,...yay us!

It's all a lie, a wonderfully delicious succulent lie and without it life might just become beliveable and that must never be allowed to happen because them I'm not quite sure where I would fit in.

By the way, hi. Long time no harass. :p
