Hey all! The rumours of my death have been greatly exaggerated. I’ve realized I’ve not posted in a while so I thought I’d do a quick update. I’m stealing a moment on Mr. Moogie’s machine while everyone is asleep.
First off, we are all doing great. My FIL is out of the hospital and recovering. He tires easily, but that is to be expected.
Chickie was selected for All Stars (softball) and they have been having the tournament this week. Did I mention it was 92 degrees yesterday? By 11:00? And that their first game was at 10:00? And the second at 11:30? I have been living and breathing softball this week but am having a blast. Not as much fun as Chickie, but fun just the same. She was backup catcher (her original position was left fielder). In the first game, the catcher had an asthma attack (poor kid), and they put her in as catcher, and that’s what she’s been doing ever since. What a trouper. The heat is ungodly, but especially so when you have all that gear on. Whenever she came in from the field, I’d pour some cold water on her head and down the front of her shirt. She claimed it helped immensely, but I imagine she wouldn’t have told me different. She’s been pretty intense about this whole thing.
So, while contending with the tournament, my computer decides to go belly up. Mr. Moogie will be fixing it in the next day or two.
I have also been getting hit with an amazing amount of SPAM on my comments and trackbacks. Ugh. Miss Zoot has set me up with something I hope will fix that problem...or at least slow it down to a tolerable level.
The tournament ends on Friday, and we’ll be going on vacation for a week starting Saturday. During that time, posting will be scarce because for part of the time, we’ll be camping and completely out of pocket.
Anyone want to volunteer to be a guest poster (the more the merrier) while I’m away? Let me know and I’ll give you a set of keys.

Hi Moogie!!! I have AWOL for a couple of weeks too. I think that's how long it's been. Sounds like life has been sooooooo busy for you! Good luck with the softball! Have a fun vacation! And I hope hubby can fix the computer.
I would volunteer to be guest poster but I can't even maintain my own blog proficiently. (spank me?)

Lindsay you could always read mine lol or maybe you do.. I really should post more I may do that I don't know.. Moogie I knew you hadn't died I'd have heard - Mr Moogie would have e-mailed me rejoycing... hmm SPAM eh.. nasty - pity you don't get something like "MAILWASHER PRO" for blogs..
It's Great use it on my "personal" e-mail account and it blocks 99% of the spam for me.. the rest I can block manually and I never need to see spam in my Outlook Express Inbox..

Yes, enjoy the tournament! My oldest finished his up last month -- they played at night which made it easier.

Have fun on vacation. I'm so glad we're in a soccer break right now so no tournaments or games for a little while. Soccer camp starts the first of August, though, and practice shortly after, so we should be full swing (kick?) again soon. Hope she won her games!
