I'm really good at it. No, I mean, I have become a professional. I can see alot of readers nodding their heads in agreement. Ahem. What I mean is, YOU have reached the level of professional in this skill as well.
Chickie is going to be working today. Yes, she is only 10. Before you call CPS or some other agency on me, it is not an infraction of the child labor laws. A neighbor of mine owns a bouncy house business. One of the attractions they have is a "train." She'll be taking tickets from children. She is excited about earning some extra cash becase, Lord help me, she wants a hamster. I told her that she had to save up for it. She's been working hard around the house to do so. She gets a regular (albeit not large) allowance for chores around the house. She doesn't get money for the things I feel are her responsibility at any time, such as cleaning her room. So she has been doing the dishes, and cleaning her bathroom for example. We've even been teaching her how to do the laundry.
But I digress. So, yesterday morning I was sitting here writing this post, when I needed to send some information to my brother's girlfriend (I'll post that later) for his suprise 50th birthday party. Plus I needed to start cleaning the house. I kept finding things to do besides the write up.
And of course, you know, the dogs? They needed to be played with. And they needed some treats. And the puppy? I had to go through some standard traning exercises with him. Sit. Stay. DON'T CHEW ON ANYTHING NOT RELATED TO FOOD OR DOG TOYS. Stuff like that.
Well, Mr. Murphy came in and screwed up everything.
You see, we had an unexpected visitor in our garage. That is half full of boxes. That we haven't unpacked. From a year and a half ago.
But I'll post more on that later. I need to take the kids to Wally World for school supplies and hair cuts.
And if you haven't already done so, don't forget to post your caption here. There's still time. What are you waiting for?

I think it's great that they are learning to do things around the house now. The most important thing we can do is teach them to be independent (and responsible)
Now about that visitor in the boxes....you sure you're going to need to go out and buy a hamster? You might have your hands full with the unexpected guest in the garage ;)

Procrastination is simply the art of having something better to do.
Thanks for the kind words on my site, btw.
