Most people can finish these sentences with the words that are well known to us all.
o On the first day of Christmas...
o 'Twas the night before Christmas...
Your mission? Take one (or both) of these sentences, and finish them, using your life experience(s). It doesn't have to be long, or rhyme. One sentence or verse is fine.
I'll start.
Twas the night before Chrastmas, and I had not even started wraping even one of the 4,382 presents I had bought this year.

Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house,
I could hear Grandma screaming, "The chimney's on fire!"
The stockings had been hung on the mantel with care,
but no one was leaving
until Grandma found her good bra.
The firemen crawled through her window to rescue her from the fray
And she said with a smile, "Emory, we've got to stop meeting this way."

Twas the night before Christmas and all through our house my husband was drinking "punch" and I was wrapping presents. When what should I hear but a scream of help. I put down the scissors and wrap and found my husband face first in the snow out back.

On the first day of Christmas the urchins got us up at 5:30 am, trashed the house and began squabbling over their toys. The Hunter was in a good mood for about 30 minutes and then settled into his normal Christmas grouch. I went back to bed and no one seemed to notice.
